Who we are
The Frank and Inez Critelli Memorial Scholarship was established in 1998 in remembrance of Frank and Inez Critelli who taught piano, violin, and other instruments in Billings, MT from the early 1930’s to the 1980’s. Funding for this scholarship originally came from the estate of Frank and Inez Critelli, and memorial donations made in their names, as well as additional donations from family, friends and recital audience members.
Upon the deaths of other family members, memorial donations were made in the names of Ralph Summy, Caesar LaMonaca, and Nancy Critelli. The funds for the scholarship money are derived from the interest accrued annually from the memorial fund.
The purpose of the scholarship is to help defray the expenses of a Montana music student who wishes to attend a school, institute, music camp, or workshop for the current year. The amount of the scholarships varies.
The award is restricted to music students who reside in Montana. No other restrictions or preferences will be applied.
